Situated approximately 19 kms west of Gravenhurst, Hardy Lake as an unusual collection of Atlantic coastal plain vegetation. The plants are thought to be the result of the glacial and post-glacial lakes that once submerged the land of Ontario. Hiking and canoeing are enjoyable activities in the area. There are no visitor facilities.

The Tree Museum is a 200-acre woodland featuring fascinating permanent sculptures that integrate contemporary art into a stunning outdoor environment. Signs and information lead visitors on a self-guided walking tour through the woods to each installation. Hiking boots are recommended.
